For this week, I’ll won’t be talking about just one map, but I’ll be talking about two maps today. One map is from Team Fortress 2, the is from Portal . Orange X Want some vitamin C? Then just play this map.Trust me, there is plenty of orange in this map to keep that doctor away for a while. Although there are plenty of these Orange themed maps in Team Fortress 2, I picked this one because the map is huge! Due to the wide space of the map, sniping a poor HG Guy is like taking candy from a baby. Another reason why this map is liked by snipers? The huge tower in the middle of the map, but it can be heavily fortified with sentries and sticky bombs, so engineers and demo men can rank up pretty quickly on this map. But you know what aspect I really like about this map? Due to the position of the control points, there no such thing as a clear victory. Lately, I used Garry ’s Mod to create some “precious” moments from Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Half Life 2. I gotten so proficient at it, that I decided to use the tool for our blog readers out there. So, once a month, I will release some funny wallpapers made with Gimp, and Garry’s Mod. This wallpaper was inspired by the Gears of War/A Team parody I posted on the blog a couple weeks ago, which was originally on Gametrailers.com. In this wallpaper, you see the Heavy Gunner Guy, the medic, the demoman, and the scout mimicking those classic scenes in the A-Team in which they jump in the air for no apparent reason. Adobe is the software developer behind their mega image editing program, Photoshp, while Autodesk is responsible for the 3d Maya series, which are widely used by game developers around the world. Both these software developers might be taking an aim at the gaming industry. Adobe is planning to release their own gaming software called Director 1, which is designed to make it simple for people to manipulate video and audio and create three-dimensional graphics for video games, virtual worlds, and even interactive store kiosks.
