BetUS has the UFC 84 betting odds posted to their site.  BJ Penn is favored over Sean Sherk , -230 to +180 on Sean Sherk.  Wanderlei Silva is favored over Keith Jardine, -185 to +145 and Lyoto Machida is favored over Tito Ortiz! - 220 to +175 on Tito…  My bet for the night… I wouldn’t mind dropped a hundred down on Tito and possibly winning $220, seems like a deal worth while… I think Machida is an excellent favor, but I’d take the risk going with Tito. We’ve all been waiting to see the results of Kim Couture’s (Randy Couture’s wife) MMA debut against Jessica Cruz .  Inside MMA has aired the highlights of the fight and Kim did quite well from what the highlights show.  Kim and Jessica come out throwing some heat, Kim attempts the muay thai clinch / knees but is unable to land anything solid, the two take it to the mat where Kim gets grounded and pounded a bit.  Jessica continues to take down Kim in the 2nd and the 3rd.  Kim gains mount in the 3rd and finishes the fight with some ground and pound.  Check out the video: YouTube Direktvideo link

The Japanese sure know how to pick their ring girls… For DEEP, they have them prance around the ring half naked and they judge who they wish to use. To match matters better, they film everything and then make it available for download on the internet. What a plan! Chris Leben Gets 35 Days in the Slammer

After recently scheduling upcoming June 7th London fight against UFC Fighter Michael Bisping, Chris Leben and his people knew that they had to work out some left over baggage from a 2005 DUI arrest in Oregon.  According to Sherdog.com, Chris Leben turned himself in to local authorities hoping that it would ease the process allowing him to secure a visa for London.  According to Sher, Leben has 35 days to serve.  For the full article, visit sherdog.com.

At the top of the list are Georges St. Pierre’s autographed fight shorts from UFC 83 against Matt Serra… Currently bidding at $8,000, while Alessio Sakara’s UFC 80 shorts are selling for $300, the price of the opening bid. So, now’s your chance to wear the tight spandex shorts of one of your favorite fighers, GSP, at the minimum price of $8k. In the past, Forrest Griffin’s UFC 76 gloves sold at the top of the auction for $4,250, Anderson Silva’s UFC 77 Gloves sold for $7,150 and Roger Huerta’s UFC 78 shorts sold for $1,625… So where do the proceeds go? While scanning through the current applicants for the Knock-Out Fight Network casting call, I came across a lovely ring girl named Dawn from Birmingham, AL.  What’s so unique about Dawn, is not her Native American background, nor her lovely smile, but the UCF t-shirt that she’s rocking that not only closely resembles the UFC trademark, but the logo looks damn near the same.  Who are these UCF guys? Nate Quarry Comments on myspace about his fight against Kalib at UFC 83…

On Nate ’s myspace today he posted a bulletin stating that he was sorry about his fight with Kalib Starnes: “I did what I could to finish the fight, it’s just tough when someone is running the whole time. I’ll post a blog about the whole thing asap Nate” Anyone who saw the fight knows that Nate was totally picking Kalib apart and he wanted nothing to do with that fight. I don’t know if he was having trouble feeling out his distance or what, but his actions resulted in his departure from the UFC. Tim Sylvia Released from the UFC, Fedor Talking to Dana White

Announced on HDNet as well as the Bubba the Lovesponge show, Tim the Maniac Sylvia has been released from the UFC.  No longer being tied to a UFC contract, Tim has signed with Adrenaline MMA.  Solidifying early rumors, UFC President Dana White confirmed that Tim has in fact been released from the UFC.  In addition to the news of Tim leaving, Dana also announced that the UFC has been in talks Fedor Emelianenko and that he (Dana) is open to a possible Randy Couture versus Fedor match.  Dana Commenting, according to yahoo.com, “We want to make the fights the people want to see,” White said. “If there is a fight that we can make for him that people really want to see, then we’ll try the best we can to get that done. We’ll see what we can do as far as (signing Emelianenko) goes.”
