I think it's so respectable how they're building a bridge to encourage diversity where there was none. These homes are located in the Alphabet Historic District in Northwest Portland, dubbed Nob Hill. My husband and I grabbed a long weekend right after the 4th of July and flew to Portland. It's a quick flight, about an hour from Sacramento. Besides touring the sights in Portland, we also walked through a few neighborhoods. I always feel the need to look at real estate, even on vacation. I constantly hear about how progressive Portland is as it's sometimes held up as a model to follow, especially concerning its infill projects and neighborhood developments. Sorting Photos in Windows Photo Gallery
2009-08-21 09:08:00 I thought I would try out Windows Photo Gallery as a tool to work my photos. This application is included with Windows Vista. Basically you can import your photos into this application and then use it to tag, rate, filter, edit, and perform some other tasks to them. Anyhow, I uploaded all my trip photos as well as the photos from others on my trip and I have over 3,700 photos to go through. What I did was put them all into the same folder and import them into Windows Photo Gallery. Next, I sorted them by Date Taken so that I had all the photos in the correct order (you need to make sure everyone had the same date setting on their cameras). Once a double clicked on the first one, it opened up into full screen and it allows you to navigate through the photos one at a time. While looking at each photo, you can press the arrow keys to go forward or back. The other thing you can do is press the number keys 0-5 to rate the pictures with the corresponding number of stars. Site Re-Design: Wallpaper Gallery and Webcomic
2009-08-09 00:55:00 As a way to put off re-doing the blog's deign even further (it is going to be a BEAR of a job!) I've re-done the wallpaper dump and the webcomic in the new site theme. Hopefully, as we see it applied to more and more sections, it will start to make sense? Thank all of you who have gone to the trouble to critique and nitpick the style so far. Remember, just because I don't change something right away doesn't mean I'm not taking your criticism into account. I try to stack up a consensus over time and then weigh it carefully and act on that. Right now, the theme and style is kind of doing everything I want it to, but the way the style works with the comic isn't blowing me away, either. There's something about a big white rectangle looming in the middle of it that makes it look out of place. But because comics just don't travel well without a white border, I've gotta keep that. Also, I broke away from the Candice font to continue using my own custom font for Doomed to Obscuri...
