This time AK has invited the wrath of Tibetans settled in India who want the superstar to distance himself from the Olympic torch relay, that is to be held in China in 2008, As many of you know Aamir Khan is one the Olympic Torchbearer and now some protesters are also threatening self-immolation if Aamir Khan doesn’t listen! Well that’s politics for you here in India.

Warrant Against Aamir Khan

A court in Gujarat on Friday issued bailable warrants against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and four others for filming Chinkara Commercial shooting of Chinkara is banned under the Wildlife (Protection) Act.A Chinkara, a Schedule I animal under the Act, was filmed in the 2002 super hit movie which was shot in Kutch district of Gujarat.The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bhuj asked all the five to appear before it on April 15.Lets hope the film industry takes the issue of protecting animals seriously and ensure that they are not sacrificed in the name of “creativity”.

Akshay Kumar to play Tatya Tope   Amitabh Parashar., Hindustan Times Akshay Kumar could well be seen in a historical role soon. An ambitious film co-production between the government of India and producer Firoz Nadiadwala is under the process of being finalised. The opus will be based on the life of Ram Chandra popularly Pandurang, known as Tatya Tope (1814-1859), the legendary hero of India’s first freedom struggle in 1857. The film on Tatya Tope is a 50-50 per cent joint venture between the ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Nadiadwala’s film production company . The budget is estimated at Rs 50 crore which will be shared by the ministry and the producer. Sources in the ministry state that the I & B minister, Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, is yet to sign the joint venture deal. Those formalities The formalities are expected to be completed very soon. Race, which was released this Friday, opened to mixed reviews. Most of the critics hailed it as a decent thriller, which falters at time. However my favorite review is by Khalid Mohammad and here are some excerpts from his tongue-in cheek review.Think drinks. One guzzles limewater; the other’s addicted to beer and assorted booze. Sanjay Dutt Wedding to Manyata Not Recognized by Mumbai Court

According to the Mumbai Court , Manyata’s wedding to actor Sanjay Dutt is null since she is still married to her ex-husband Mehraj. Manyata stated that a qazi (Muslim priest) had annulled her marriage with Mehraj but that is not recognized by the Indian Courts. Mehraj on Tuesday filed an application with the court, stating that he was not sent a notice by the qazi about the divorce, which is the practice.Advocate Taslim Khan appearing for Mehraj told IANS: "Mehraj was not even aware of his divorce from Manyata, and thus it is not valid and legal."

Soha Ali Khan is in trouble for illegally owning a gun and in all probability will be issued a show-cause notice by the police. The police are questioning Soha as her father , former cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataud used the gun to kill endangered blackbucks.A gun licensed in the name of Soha Ali Khan was found amongst the firearms seized from Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's Delhi residence in 2005. A case has been booked against Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, for allegedly poaching wild animals. Soha has been dragged into the controversy since the gun was issued to her in 1996 when she was just 18! She has been given two weeks time to explain to the authorities.

Radiodargam an online Bollywood portal created quiet storm posting a backless photo from a Femina Photo shoot where one of the models is credited to be Aishwarya Rai ! However barring Madhu Sapre all the other models have their backs turned so its not possible to authenticate this!But husband Abhishek Bachchan is not amused and is now threatening legal action. A statement was issued in which it was said the photo was ‘morphed’ and not genuine. So what do you think? Personally knowing Ash’s stand on nudity and the fact that Rai never really had to struggle in the modeling world we think its not really Aishwarya! But we could be wrong.

Sanjay Dutts new bride (?) Manyata is embroiled in a new controversy this week. A man claiming to be Manyata’s husband says that that he had never divorced her.In fact, on the date of divorce shown on the alleged fake documents, Ms. Manyata was six months pregnant, Mairaj-ur Rehman told magistrate Pankaj Shah through his lawyer. As such, the divorce was not legal according to the Muslim laws, his lawyer argued.Manyata and Dutt will now have to reply to the issues brought to the court's notice.

"We have a series against South Africa - three Test matches which finishes two days before the first IPL game.
