Sony Launches the PlayStation Store for PSP
2007-11-21 00:00:00
Without much fanfare, Sony opens up the PlayStation Store . where you can download for-pay and free content via your computer and upload them directly onto your PSP. At the moment, there’s still just limited content like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1), Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and Tekken 2. Aside from games, wallpapers, themes, video trailers and demos are available as well. To start downloading from the PlayStation Store, get The PSP PC Application and install it on your Desktop. It allows users to download content through the software and then it directly uploads to the USB-connected PSP. It’s expected that sometime in the future the PS3 store will offer the same type of service as well as integrate with the PC and PSP Store. For now though, if you’re interested in trying the store out without cashing in, there’s FREE contents like games and themes that only require a sign up to download. [Via Gamebrink]

Level Up drops the Ban Hammer
2007-11-21 00:00:00
Due to the wide popularity of Valkyrie, Ragnarok Online PH’s newest free-to-play server, numerous players intending to GAME the system tried to employ the usual bot-dominance over the server. Too bad for them, Level Up Philippines raised their anti-bot ordinances up a notch. To those who haven’t been up to speed with what’s happening, after a bit of bot-throttling from Level-Up which ended up in massive disconnections from thousands of botted accounts, Valkyrie’s server, under the stress of thousands of incoming connections went down for several hours. Here’s LU’s official statement on the stability of the server: Please be advised that Level-up! Games will start sanctioning users caught with thousands of instances of daily log-ins. Not only is this an indication that you?re using a third party program, this can also be considered a DOS attack against our servers which causes great inconvenience to the rest of the community. This is the main rea...

Browsershots: A great web design tool
2007-11-20 00:00:00
Interested on how your site looks on a different browser and OS? If you were to do it the old way you need multiple browsers in your PC (say Opera, Firebox, IE and Safari) and check them out manually. If you wanted to test your site on both IE6 AND IE7 then you need a separate installation for both (check below on how to do it). If you want to test your work on multiple OS’s though, you either need multiple machines or a bit of knowhow on running multiple OS’s on the same machine. Now you just need to type the URL of the site you need to test and it’s automatically done for you. Enter Browse rshots Here’s a test run on Atma Xplorer (click for the full version): Browsershots also allows you to download these images conveniently packed into one zip file. Shakugan no Shana Season 2 - A quick look
2007-11-16 00:00:00
Like many sequels I’ve seen so far, Shakugan no Shana’s second take on the seen feels like a drawn out appeal by animators (not the creators of the manga) to bait more people into watching a series that’s getting more and more stale with each passing episode. The new series is currently running at six episodes, ...

Thoughts on gOS
2007-11-07 00:00:00
I was ecstatic to find a new Linux flavor on Linuxtracker . While some people are fazed by having a Linux distro compiled with the idea of their web apps (docs, youtube, gmail, blogger etc) at the helm of the OS, I was curious as to how the gOS would fare with Ubuntu, it’s mother ...

Mulitple Logins for Yahoo Messenger
