Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400

Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 Originally uploaded by fastwallpapersIf I had a dream car, it would have to be the Aston Martin V8 Vantage! What a sharp looking car.If you go shopping in a car like this, where do you park? Do you park at the end of the parking lot and walk, do you drop someone at the door and come back to get them, or what? I see people with much less expensive cars that walk a quarter mile after parking at the very end of the parking lot, but this just gives a target for people to aim carts at.I guess if I had a car such as this, I could afford to have someone do my shopping for me. Just wondering?

Certified Program Cars; Good Alternative to New Cars
2009-03-16 12:17:00
I have always believe in saving money when it comes to buying a car and what better way than to buy a Certified Program Car.Many think Program cars are demos from the dealership, but a Program car is one that has been leased by a company or Rental Car Agency. They drive them a set number of miles, turn them in and dealers buy these cars at auction. A Program Car sounds much better than a Rental Car, but they are essentially one in the same.3 REASONS PROGRAM CARS ARE GREAT BUYS:1. Rental Cars /Progam Cars are good buys because they are usually current model years with under 30,000 miles. 2. Rental Car or Companies that lease cars are under contract to service the car at X number of miles unlike if an individual owned the car. Many jump for joy when it is a One Owner, but why not buy a car that you know has been serviced correctly.3. The biggest reason to buy a Program Car is because of the SAVINGS!!! How would you like to save $10,000 off the New Car you have been looking at?The n...

Closing Techniques For Car Salesmen
2009-03-14 03:06:00
There are several different Closing Tools or Techniques taught to Car Salesman, but I believe it all comes down to one! This is just one of the steps in the road to the sale, but the one many focus on. Be sure to check out the 10 Steps Road To The Sale.I believe if you do a proper meet and greet and interview, you will land a customer on the correct vehicle at the correct price and payment. If you follow the process from start to finish, Closing The Deal is the easiest part. Also, the biggest suggestion for Car Salesman is a proper Walk Around and Demonstration of vehicle operations and features. Remember this, Function-Feature-Benefit. When doing a walk around, you have to tell the option or Function, What it Does, and the one many salesman miss--how it will Benefit the consumer. For Instance, this car has dual stage air bags which will come out at a speed according to the severity of the impact; the benefit to you Mr/Mrs Customer is that in a small fender bender, the air bag wont ...

Car Buying Tips For Women
2009-03-02 00:12:00
If you are new to selling cars, remember one thing. WOMEN make the DECISION when buying a new car! I see new salesman start talking to customers and leave the women out of the conversation. This will NEVER lead to a car sale! PERIOD!!! Do not pay too much attention so that the husband is left out or feels you are hitting on his wife, but definitely talk to the wife. If you ever notice when figures are presented to prospective car buyers, men always look at their wives before answering. They can tell by the wife's body language whether she thinks its a good deal or not. I know many men are saying, "I wear the pants in my family." Yea right, but your wife probably picked them out for you. Women always get the new cars too. They may say, this is a car for my husband, but women get the new cars and men drive the old ones. All I am saying, pay attention to the women when negotiating a car deal. This should be a hot topic! Everyone says that women are taken advantage of when b...

Trade Difference Car Deal Explained
2009-03-01 20:32:00
When buying a car, many customers are confused when presented numbers that have the phrase "Trade Difference " attached to them. I will break the phrase Trade Difference down so you can negotiate with the best of them.Trade Difference is used by many dealerships so that you can avoid the "Your Upside Down" term. Many customers owe more on their trade than what it's worth, but this is just life. Car Salesman are upside down on their trades as well so don't feel bad.If you are buying a $20,000 car and your trade in is worth $10,000--just to make math easy. You would have a Trade Difference of $10,000, plus tax, title, tag, and payoff. Guess what, many are confused by this and think this is the amount they will be financing. Lets say you owe $15,000 on your trade for simplicity again. Now, you take the trade difference of $10,000 plus your payoff of $15,000 and your new balance is $25,000 plus tax, title, license of course. In most states if not all, you only pay tax on Trade Differenc...

Toyota Hilux Engine - A Brief History
2009-02-28 05:41:00
Toyota Hilux Engine - A Brief History By Chris HamiltonThe Toyota Hilux engine has changed many times since 1968 when the Hilux first debuted. Back then, it was powered by a small, 1.5 litre 4-cylinder. It has since evolved many times over with some models maintaining a 4-cylinder engine although now they're bigger, more powerful and even turbo or diesel powered (or both) while some models made a jump to larger displacement V6 engines. This article will provide a brief timeline into the history of the Toyota Hilux engine.Toyota R EngineThe R engine was the first family of engines to grace the Toyota Hilux. The R engine was a 4-cylinder petrol (gasoline) that was used in various forms from 1968 to 1995. The 2R, 3R, 8R, 8R-C, 8R-E, 12R, 18R, 18R-C, 18R-E, 20R, 22R, 22R-E, and 22R-TE were all the variations of the R family of engines to be used in the Hilux. In the beginning, the 2R was a 1.5 litre that grew and had various factory modifications through the 2.4 litre 22R-E used in 1995...

P0171 and P0174 Codes - Dont Replace Oxygen Sensor Before Reading

P0171 and P0174 Codes - Don't Replace an Oxygen Sensor Before Reading ThisBy Dennis BandySo your car's CEL (Check Engine Light) is on and you had the codes scanned at a local parts store. Your car has either a P0171, P0174 lean fault code or both stored in the computer, these codes are based on Oxygen Sensor (O-2) readings. A lean code or codes indicate that there's too much oxygen in the exhaust. Remember parts stores have employees that have good intentions but they may not have the experience necessary to interpret what the trouble codes really mean. These codes are based on oxygen measurements in the exhaust. A common mistake with lean codes is to replace the oxygen sensors. This could be a very expensive mistake that will not fix the problem. Especially if both codes are present, because the chance of both O-2 sensors failing at the same time is very unlikely.Get a FREE, No Obligation, Extended Auto Warranty Quote in Less than a Minute! Most likely the cause is a vacuum leak....

Auto Repossessions Repo's At All Time High!
2009-02-18 05:59:00
Auto Repossessions are at an all time high, but the Repo Man is getting left out in the cold! Customers are returning their cars, trucks, and SUV's at an alarming rate, but are bringing them to the dealerships to drop them off voluntarily! It will still show as a Repossession on your credit, but what are customers to do when they cannot afford the car note anymore. Here are a few tips that may help someone that is going through this dilemma:1. Make sure to call the lender and try to work something out. You never know until you call, but this is the first thing to consider. The lender really does not want to repossess your car because they will most likely take a loss when they sell it--and remember, you get charged the losses taken when it sells!2. Try to trade your car for something more affordable. Remember to check your ego at the gate and ask your salesman for help in finding something that will accomplish your goals. It may not be what you WANT right now, but may be what you NE...

Car Heater Not Working - Blowing Cold Air!
2009-02-17 08:29:00
Car Heater Not Working - Blowing Cold Air!By Dennis BandyThere are several reasons why your car's heater may be blowing cold air, instead of heat. It is important to understand how the heater works in your car before you can begin to try to diagnose why it is not working. First, there is NOT an electric heater element in the heater system in automobiles, like in portable heaters used in the home. The part that transfers heat into the passenger compartment is called a heater core. A heater core can be thought of as a miniature radiator. The car engine's coolant flows through the heater core while the fan (also called a blower), blows air through the heater core fins. When air blows through the heater core fins, it is warmed, therefore warming the passenger compartment.Start by checking the coolant. As we already said coolant is what warms the heater core. So if the coolant is low, there may not be a sufficient amount of warmth to transfer heat to the air in the passenger compartmen...

Car Engine Does Not Crank Over - Auto Repair Tips
2009-01-31 00:38:00
Car Engine Does Not Crank Over - Auto Repair Tips By Dennis BandyI remember years ago a customer of mine called because she was stranded at McDonalds. Her car wouldn't start, it wouldn't even crank over. Luckily I was only about five minutes away and was able to drop by to check her car for her. The battery terminals were after-market, the type that has two 7/16" bolts that clamp over the bare cable end. These are a quick easy repair for the battery cable but sometimes they do loosen over time. That was exactly what had happened in this case. I was able to just tighten the terminals where they clamped to the bare cable ends and she was on her way.A car that doesn't turn over at all, usually has a battery related problem. Many cars are towed to auto repair shops every year due to loose or corroded battery terminals. If the car engine doesn't crank over at all, the first thing to check is the battery and terminal connections. Here's a quick auto repair tip, turn the lights on and ...
2001 Pontiac Grand Am Stalling - Answer
2009-01-30 04:23:00
I have had an issue with a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am Stalling when it idles down like at traffic lights. It would start right back up, but as soon as I let off the gas, it would go dead. I asked my Mechanic and he gave me the answer I was looking for--cheap and easy to fix! So if your 2001 or similar body style 4 cylinder Grand Am is Stalling at traffic lights, check this first! In the front of the engine there is a small Vacuum hose, remember I am no Mechanic. It is rubber and is behind a few small plugs, but directly in the front of the engine. The Vacuum hose gets dry rotted and allows air to escape and makes the gas mix too rich, this will also affect your fuel mileage. The best way to check is to start your car, push on the hose and see if your car tries to stall--BEING CAREFUL OF MOVING PARTS AND FANS! If you are like me and not a Mechanic, don't get too cute. But, to make a long story short, I paid $2.00 for the hose and hooked it up myself, so you know it wasn't too hard. Probl...

Toyota Camry Review and History
2009-01-18 20:11:00
Toyota Camry is one of the best selling sedans in the US market. Lets take a look at what Toyota has done to push Camry to the top.The brief history of Toyota Camry has to be the first discussion. To see where Camry has been and what made it evolve into what it is today. Toyota has never really payed too much attention to US cars, but has been in direct competition with the Honda Accord.Toyota Camry came out in 1983 trying to give some choices for those who did not follow the slogan "Buy American." When Camry first hit the scene it was not the ugliest duck, but was a close runner up. But, there is something to be said about the first Camry, I still get 80's model Camry's traded today! A 25 year old Car? That is unheard of for a car to last that long.In 1987 Camry came out with an upgrade that followed the Accord update in 1986. The largest improvement in 1987 was the decrease in noise and vibration and a smoother riding sedan. Also, a nicer looking car compared to its earlier mode...

Buy American Cars; Is it Possible?
2009-01-13 03:46:00
My Grandfather always told me growing up to always buy American Cars to support our country. I did just like he said and even started working for an American Car Company; GM. I sell Pontiac, Buick, and GMC. I did just like my Grandfather told me, but I started noticing where cars and parts were made on the window stickers. It is amazing how many parts and assembly items come out of Mexico.Do you know which cars have the highest ranking percent of parts and assembly in North America? I do now, thanks to NHTSA (National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration). They have comprised some numbers of cars and trucks made in North America. These numbers count Canada and US as North America. The car with the highest percent of content is the Ford Crown Victoria with 90 percent American parts and production. Some of the following vehicles may surprise you, the Toyota Sienna is 85% American. The following cars also fall in at the 85% mark: Saturn Aura, Pontiac G6, GMC Sierra, GMC Sa...

General Motors - "Cruzing" Along With New Technology By Matthew FinnGeneral Motors is one of the world leaders in hybrid car technology, but that should come as no shock to anybody. After all, GM's Research and Development was the world's very first automotive research center, founded in the early '20's by Charles F. Kettering. Located in Warren, Michigan, GM's Research and Development teams work on their new technologies and innovations in 6 laboratories, and 6 science offices. Researchers work with teams from a dozen countries, countless universities and government groups to provide GM with the edge in new automotive technology.Gm has made great strides in the fuel cell car technology for starters: researchers have lessened the likelihood of cold weather freeze up in the hydrogen fuel cell based "Hy-wire" This vehicle does not have much of the traditional car parts, such as an internal combustion engine, instrument panel, or pedals, but it does have power supplied by its hydro...
