2009 Nissan GT-R Makes 7:29 Nurburgring Lap Test

May.1,2008, Nissan today announced that its 2009 GT-R supercar achieved a lap time at the infamous Nurburgring in Germany of seven minutes and 29 seconds.Recorded on April 16 and 17, the GT-R used was a base specification car and fitted with the standard Japanese market tires. BMW, the Gemany automaker, owning three brands, BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce, is targeted sales of 200,000 vehicles in the rapidly growing Asia n region by 2012. The 2008 Chicago Auto Show is the 100th anniversary of Chicago Auto Show. Since 1901, Chicago has been home to the largest auto show in the nation, giving us car-loving mid-western corn dwellers something to be proud of.This year, the show will be featuring over 1,000 vehicles for a full 10 days. If you’re going, admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and seniors. The show starts on Friday, Feb. 8th to Sunday, Feb. 17th, and the floor will be open from 10AM to 10PM every day except the last, in which the floor will close at 8PM. One cool display will the special 100th Edition stage featuring some significant cars from the beginning of the 20th Century.This year the 2008 Chicago Auto Show looks pretty promising, although a bit lacking in terms of concept cars. The Chicago motor show follows Detroit Auto Show by just a few weeks, starting on February 6th. The 2008 Chicago Auto Show will fill the giant McCormick Place convention center with hundreds of the latest production cars as well as several new concepts.The 2009 Hummer H3T truck is one of the showcase cars, and before the officially debut, the photos and specifications have already been leaked on the Web.The 2009 Hummer H3T is based on the Hummer H3 SUV, offerring a five-passenger crew cab and a separete 5-foot-long truck bed.The 2009 Hummer H3T will be available with the same 3.7L Atlas straight five engine as well as a 5.3L V8 engine in an Alpha version.
